Scale of mirrors to nightstand

Hi Michael, I love your work. My question is about the two side mirrors. I have been planning on doing that same thing my problem is I ended up with two nightstands that are not as wide as the mirrors are. Will it look funny or can I go with mirrors that are wider then the night stands? Thanks for your help!
