Photos would be a big help.However in general there are two ways to look at it:contrast the look of the chair or complement the look. This can be both achieved by shape, style, color and fabric. For dark brown leather, you can pair a lighter taupe/sand color in a durable stain resistant fabric. Also lighting is a strong consideration. Does the room get a lot of natural light and how it is lit at night. A sofa with a dark chair might not work in dim lighting.

I have the same dilemma. We would like to use the dark brown reclining love seat (not very easy to see but it's back near the windows)

in the living room (brand new house) but are not sure what type, style, color or fabric to put with it and make this room look stunning. I was thinking a large but low (so as not to block the lake view) leather with clean lines, in a light shade of beige (cream)? What do you think? Help please!
