Recessed Lights - 4" or 6"

All,

We have a family room that's 13' by 18' with 8' ceilings. We're going to DIY recessed lights (Cree CR4 or CR6). We have the following options:

- 2 rows of 4 of the 4" cans
- 2 rows of 3 of the 6" cans

Our house was built in 1992. Not sure which would look better or is aligned with most houses have today. Either option gives us nearly the same amount of light.

Use 4" LED recessed lighting. Do you have any floor outlets for lamps next to a sofa or chairs in the middle of the room? I like to use directional recessed lighting to highlight artwork on a wall or above a fireplace. Otherwise, I use table lamps or floor lamps. I would not use two rows of recessed lighting.

We have the same question - we have the same size room approx. We decided on 4".
