How to pinch off Moonflower Vines?

Hey guys,

So like the title says, I need to learn how to pinch off my Moon flower vines. I currently have 3 Moon flower vines growing. My tallest is approx. 15 ft tall but the trellis it is climbing is only 12 ft. I want to cut the vines back so it stops at the top of the trellis but i don't know how to go about doing this or if I should even do that. I've heard you should let Moon flower vines climb back down the trellis but this doesn't sound right to me. If anyone out there can help me out and educate me on "pinching off" vines and plants in general, i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys! Also im very new to this forum but i am so glad i found it! There is a lot of knowledgeable people on here who have great information!

PS. If anyone would like photos of the vine in question I will gladly upload some.

So here is some pictures of the vine in question. There are vines that are starting to grow off the base of the plant along the ground and I don't know what to do with them. I would train them up the trellis but I'm scared this will hurt the plant by choking the leafs? This is my first year growing moon flowers and any other flowers period. Should I just cut them off? Should i let them climb the trellis? What should I do with the 2 main vines at the top of the trellis? They have grown passed the top of the trellis by +3 ft. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I really want this Moon flower vine to bloom. Its huge and I think the flowers would be just as big. Thanks guys!
