Laundry room to mudroom project--need utility sink?

Our first floor laundry room is not functional (approx 8'x8') and we are turning it into a small mudroom/pantry. It currently has a large utility sink in it. We are moving our washer/dryer upstairs to our master closet (all bedrooms are upstairs and we have lots of room in closet). Should we keep the utility sink in the mudroom? We will not have a utility sink in the house if we don't keep one in the mudroom. Having the extra space in the mudroom would be great, but I've always had a utility sink and we use it pretty regularly. Not sure what it would be like not to have one.

I would keep the sink in the mud room. I use the utility sink to clean rain boots plus other things (mine is in the laundry room) Even if you don't have the laundry there anymore, you probably will need to the sink to wash some things by hand

Never give up a sink in a useful spot.

Can you put a smaller sink in? If not, I'd keep it particularly since you use it regularly.
