Hi Debian227, unfortunately I don't have a record of our client's countertop selection for this kitchen as I was not involved in that part of the design, but I do know that it is a granite top. If you are interested in granite with a similar reddish tone, inquire with your local supplier for stones in the Bordeaux family (there are a number of different types depending on country of origin, pattern, and inclusions). Even natural stones with the same name can vary greatly in pattern and colouring from block to block. Hope this is helpful. The best thing really is to see slabs in person, a trip to a stone purveyor is like a trip to an art gallery. There are a lot of really beautiful, unique pieces available, and when you find the right one, you will know it :)
