Amazing bathtub surround (and ceiling) wood and process?

Hi, this bathroom is gorgeous! Can you tell me about the bathtub surround wood? Species? And the paint colors or process it took to whitewash it like that? It's exactly what I'm trying to do with a master vanity, and I'm having trouble getting someone to replicate this look! Was the same wood and process used on the ceiling? Thanks so much, absolutely beautiful work!

Good morning Claire,

I unfortunately do not have the info on the tub surround. If I had to guess, I'd venture to say they used some sort of cedar with a white distressed paint. I'd ask a painter or someone at a paint store for more advice.
