My quartz countertops are not technically in the "marble look" list, though people have asked me if they are marble. It has some of the same colors, but not the pattern. I've had them for one year and so far no issues. They look just like the day they were installed. In fact, I just ordered a piece for my island, which has a butcher block piece. One thing I like about mine is that the pattern is such that the seam barely shows. I have also seen my quartz on mid tone wood, dark wood and white cabinets. However, the overall look is warm, so it might not work with a cool gray.

This might not be the look for you, but I am pleased with quartz and have no problem recommending quartz countertops.

My quartz is LG Viatera White Pearl.

Menard's sells 12 or so quartz under their Riverstone name, and all are really other brand name quartz - like LG and HanStone. They sell the White Pearl as Flaked Pearl. I did get mine at Menards - they often have sales which is why I ordered my island top today:) You should be able to find the White Pearl at a K and B store that carries LG.

LG Viatera Roccoco and LG Viatera Minuet are two other popular quartz that fall more into the "marble look" then the White Pearl does.

It's holding up beautifully! We've had it in for a year and a half, no issues whatsoever. We chose Silestone Snowy Ibiza and I do not baby it.
