Since nobody else has responded, I'll take a shot and maybe get the conversation going for you.

I'd focus on that burned out oven light, especially if it burned out around the same time you noticed the odor. You haven't had the stove for a year yet. Bulbs sometimes fail in that short a time, but usually last a lot longer. Swap in the bulb from the other fixture. If it does not work, then the fixture has shorted out and maybe singed some insulation. Time to call warranty service.

Otherwise, a fleeting tiny bad odor from the oven vent would make me suspect a
little temporary something, maybe blown there by the convection fan from
inside the oven or maybe a little bit of something greasy
dropped/splashed/splattered from a pan on the back burner on the stove top..

Thanks! I'll try this. The odor is definitely "electric" if you know what I mean (At our home we call this "bakelite" burnt smell.) I had to change a lamp a couple of months back (I was surprised how soon!) but I do not remember if it is the same one or not. I will know when I change it since at the time I bought two replacements, and they were different from the original ones (clear vs frosted).

Ok. I changed the burnt bulb. It was the remaining original one. I put the replacement and it works, so no short-circuit there. Turned the oven on, no smell. Hoping it was a fluke.
