Hello all, we are trying to achieve the following look in a small bathroom short on space. Would like to attach a natural stone marble slab or large format thin porcelain tile slab to front of the tub so it blends seamlessly with the wall tile behind. Considered using a drop-in bath tub and undermount it with a stone top however we simply do not have the room to build a surounding deck. Is it possible to install an alcove tub without the front skirt and have the front panel of stone flush with the lip of the tub without adding an additional piece of stone on the top rim of the tub. In this case what would be used to constructe the front wall prior to attaching the stone? Anyone have any idea what they did in the example below? Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time
