Hi Karen, thanks for asking! This is one of our soapstone slabs - Sabao Extrafino Honed in a 3cm thickness. One of the really great natural advantages of soapstone is that it's very low maintenance. Rather than sealing soapstone, you oil it. So any scratches that may occur in the kitchen, from cooking, kids, etc, you can re-oil and the scratch will disappear!
