I would make a straight line from kitchen into pantry as opposed to the two doorways to pass through.this means a cut through on range wall...which means a rearrangement of a few things. I have to assume you need/want this pantry..is that correct? I can't fathom this size...if it is a given,,,then make the in/out really straightforward. Is this because of a reduction of wall cabinets in your kitchen?

Thanks herb flavor. That is correct (less cabinets). To be honest I never really noticed the 2 doors. That is a great idea!

The fridge is too far from the cooktop. You might consider making the cooktop and hood the focal point of the back wall, with windows on each side. This plan puts the sink and DW on the island, and uses herbflavor's suggestion:

In both plans, a helper can unload the DW or gather dishes to set the table, without interfering in prep and cooking. In the second plan, you'd have a second prep area between the clean-up sink and the cooktop.
