I honestly thought at one time this would never grow, but it started putting out several shoots around the base this summer, and one has grown taller than the original plant, and now has 6 figlets on it. The main plant has 2 figlets. I have no idea if we have fig wasps around here, but I guess I'll find out. I'm aware that most of these will probably fall off, or not be pollinated, but I'm still happy, because it shows what this plant will do.
It's still in a 2-gallon pot, and I had been picking fruit off in favor of growth. I planned on repotting it into its permanent home in a 10-gallon pot when it went dormant, but that's several months away down here in FL, so I just keep watering and fertilizing and letting the figs grow. It seems to like being potbound.
If it continues to grow this fast, it will fill out that 10-gallon pot in no time.
