The carpet is gone! We have been sanding down our unfinished stairs and stain won’t really do much, but a fresh coat of paint could really do the trick. Any ideas for colors? I’m a big fan of greys. I’m thinking a white back and the steps can be a light grey. The top of the stairs is a beige tile and the bottom is still the old carpet. (Eventually we will place some laminate). Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

As a note. The stairs are in a somewhat narrow way down, so the only time you see them is when you are looking up from the basement or looking down from the back door.
