We just moved into a new condo with a long, narrow space for living/dining area, adjacent to our kitchen. It includes a fireplace on the diagonal wall and a large wall of windows.

The furniture from our old place is too large or misshapen to work. Before we buy new pieces, we want to decide the best layout option.

(Facing the space, looking from the kitchen)
1) the TV is on the far right wall, with sofa across. The dining table would be toward the left of the room near the fireplace, and we will mount some kind of mantel and decor above.

2) the TV is on the far left, mounted over fireplace, with sofa nearby. The dining table and furniture are on the right side of the room.

Keep in mind, the entry to our condo is also on the far right wall in the opposite corner.
