I tried the changes on SW Visualizer. I don't know what to think of it.

You are looking at a full frontal project: add interest to the front door, garage doors, brick area and the plain top triangle over featureless windows.
A portico would have to be integrated with the bay window area, maybe adding a pergola running the width of the garage.
I think you need an architect, but it would be a good investment to improve the facade.
You will also need to tackle the landscape...particularly the big lump bush toward the street.

A revamp of the landscaping & hardscape , especially the walkway, is where I would focus. I think the brick is fine but the paint isn’t doing it for me. Something in another color might help. Things like an arbor spannin the garage doors, a larger light fixture at the entry, painting the front door, framing the upper windows in a darker color would help to give the impression of larger, things like that. If you’re intent on doing something with the brick perhaps stain it, but I don’t think that’s the issue here.

Boy do the shutters make a huge difference. So much better. Like the black front door, too. A pergola over the garage doors would help.

Thanks for the great ideas RL! You think if I did a roof like that over the pergola, the one over the bay window should be the same material?

The roof of the bay window is probably already metal? either way I think if they are both black it will be fine.
