What do you fertilize with? Mow one height setting lower , remove clippings and raise mower back to where it is now. fertilize with 'Milorganite' at double the recommended rate. Make another application in 6 weeks. Paspalum will stay green into the winter if dethatched and fertilized in early fall. Small electric dethatchers are cheap and easy to use . Brand names are -'Sun Joe' 'Greenworks' and 'Homelite' They basically thin the turf and increase light and air circulation at the surface. Cool season fertilization should be with a standard synthetic fertilizer like Scotts or Bandini . Don't use these type fertilizers in spring and summer.

Green patches definitely indicate the rest is short on nitrogen.
