Window shades??..........outside mount........

Until our recent heat wave, I wanted to leave windows as is........ got a quote for roll up shades (not darkening ... see through 10% weave). they would be hidden under a valance ... I know I would never use the north end........ would it be odd to put them on half the room ( south east )

If you extend the valance across all the windows, you would hide the fact that only the south east windows have shades when not in use.

Those blinds are fabulous for cutting the heat while keeping the view. Go for it! Take care choosing the weave - you dont want to block that beautiful view.

We also are on a lake with a westward outlook. We added those blinds this spring and LOVE them. They don't darken the room, you still have a good view and they cut back significantly on the heat gain in the house. Ordered ours through Lowes during a sale and are very happy.
