What is the best way to mix metals in a bathroom?

I would love gold cabinet hardware on my vanity, but don't want everything to be gold. I am unsure how to mix the metals so that it will look good together. Maybe gold cabinet pulls and sconces and silver faucet and towel bars and mirror frame? What do you think is the best way to mix metals so that it flows well? I'll probably do a calcutta tile somewhere, maybe the floor, which has both gold and silver/grey hues. Also, I would love insight as to which metal color goes best with the brushed gold? Would it be brushed nickel? Thanks so much!

Don’t mix gold and silver. Keep the color families the same. Gold mixes with bronze or black. Silver mixes with nickel, pewter, or black. Black is the crossover link.

I disagree with live wire. It's fine to mix silvery metals with gold ones.

The key is to just repeat each metal more than once so the mix looks intentional. It can even be through accessories and decor. There's no rule really on which pieces have to be which metal. (although its best to have all lighting be the same metal, all faucets etc.)
