Thanks to this awkwardly large and not very movable couch, I am stuck with this layout. It’s not in the budget to get a new couch anytime soon so I need help figuring out what to put on my walls. Any suggestions are helpful!

First "widen" the appearance of the window and consider alternate placement for the parts of the sectional before considering art for the walls. Any changes to the window treatments should be done before choosing what you put on your wall. You don't need to limit wall decor to framed pictures.

Shelving -- floating shelves, box shelves, corner shelves -- can hold family treasures. Pressed metal art and other wall hangings can be used.

Like your tables and lamps but the lamps could use larger white straight-sided lamp shades. Any change in placement and lamp shade size you and any additions you might be considering would need to be done before you decide what to put on the walls.

DO move the sofa away from the exterior wall so your window treatment is not pushed/squished against the wall behind it. Also, be careful to not have them dragging on the floor (something which can contribute to that trapped/squished appearance -- drapes should drape).

You could change your curtain rod to a double rod and put the lighter colored panels on the inner rod if your lighter drape panels are actually sheers which you can keep closed/together. Your window will appear larger and better sized for the width of wall if you use a double rod wider so you're drape panels will be covering wall and frame but not window glass.

If the overhead light base can hold a ceiling fan with light, do consider one for this room. Lighting could impact what you decide to put on the walls.

See if you could find some bolsters for use as arm rests for the different parts of the sectional. No one really likes sitting for an extended time without arm rests -- whether or not you separate the parts of the sectional.

Do at least experiment a bit with dividing that sectional sofa into its different sections to enable you to set a plant stand or floor lamp or table with lamp -- something other than the huge sofa (which blocks part of the light -- in front of the window. See if you can put the two longest sections facing each other and put the two chairs on each side of the window, perhaps with a floor lamp/table combo between them in front of the window, so you can keep the two tables and lamps you have on each side of the room at one end of each longer part of the sectional.

I agree with everything Patricia Colwell has suggested along with the following if you want to create a more Luxury Design feel on a budget.

1.) Change the Curtain pole to a wider pole and take it a little more closer to the ceiling, Because your ceiling looks low. And you have 1 window. I.e https://www.houzz.com/products/rod-desyne-home-decorative-flora-double-curtain-rod-satin-nickel-120-170-inch-prvw-vr~33762573

Makes the wall look taller and grand.

2.) Change the ceiling light to a ceiling fan with a beautiful light fixture to add some style and breeze in the event it ever gets too hot. I.e https://www.houzz.com/products/kimalex-wood-nickel-crystal-ceiling-fan-prvw-vr~121204582

3.) Add some wall art to compliment your curtains. I would leave the solid blue curtains and use the patterned curtains for the throw pillow covers to tie everything together. I.e https://www.houzz.com/products/ready2hangart-abstract-spa-gallery-wrapped-canvas-20-hx30-w-prvw-vr~78983180

    4.) Add some family photos i.e https://www.houzz.com/products/gallery-wood-picture-frame-set-of-4-walnut-brown-8x10-prvw-vr~108254997

5.) Add 2 nice table lamps to complement the look. I.e https://www.houzz.com/products/safavieh-georgia-29h-table-lamp-prvw-vr~85910552

6.) Change the end tables to something more light to contract with your sofa as the current table are washed out. I.e https://www.houzz.com/products/sabatini-wooden-accent-table-prvw-vr~126743888

7.) Accessories the ottoman and add a beautiful 5 to 6 ft tall Real Life Plant to bring in some nature to the room.

P.S these are just some suggestions I hope they help in some way or another. Enjoy. God Bless

I would break up the sectional and leave the window exposed with nothing but the little end table in the middle . Take those drapes off and then take another photo . You need lamps or one standing lamp ...once you have the sectional placed in a different way ...forming a U shape ...you can place paintings or mirrors , lamps ...covering up the window as you have it right now is not helping.

If you need a giant sectional because you have a huge family or you like to entertain twenty people at once, you should provide tables for them to put their drinks on, and lighting to brighten the room. Don’t block the window with the sectional. I know it’s not easy to move, but get several men friends to do the lifting and several women friends to do the pointing, and you may be able to break up the sectional into more useful parts: a smaller corner unit, two conversational arrangements, an exposed window with a table and lamp, small coffee and drinks surfaces here and there. It may help if you do the smaller corner arrangement first and add a square table at each end and a coffee table to serve the people in the corner. Then move the remaining smaller sections and your other chairs until you like the result.

    Not a Pro.

If moving the sectional or separating the sectional is not an option, then you need to add and take away to bring the room together.

The window need to look larger. Move the rod up and extend the sides. Add more panels. It will then look more substantial.

Next you need to add more color to your sofa, by adding pillows that coordinate with your drapes, a throw and some Large art having those same colors. Get rid of the end tables, they don't work in this room. Getting a floor lamp for one side and a brass and glass table for the other. You need to bring a little sparkle into the room. Bring in a plant, it always brings life into the room.

Try removing a the corner of the sectional, and perhaps another seat. Draw the room and add all dimensions. Window, opening walls, all of it. There has to be a better way................: (

Yes please . I don’t usually suggest rearranging a sectional but in this case get rid of some of those pieces put them somewhere else that recliner just adds to the big brown blobs in the space too. Is tah the only window in the space ?
