Yes - thank you. That is a good idea but this bathroom services 3 bedrooms so we wanted to add a 2nd sink to make it more practical for multiple kids. Luckily, we have no storage now so what we are gaining with the new vanity even with the 2 sinks quadruples what we have now! The new vanity wall with the 2 sinks is over 8 feet wide with two tall towers on each side for storage. Our existing vanity is 2'10" & floating so just 2 small cupoards under the sink.

I would get rid of the 2nd sink. Which direction do the joists run?

Don't know your kids but my kids wouldn't share a bath and they are the same sex and close in age.

Hi catbuilder - I do not know which way the joists run currently. and can't get anybody in the house right now to check. But do you think since the current toilet is in about the same location that it could be turned 90 degrees and stay in the same joist area? If so, do you think its better to flip the shower/toilet wall to the window wall or leave the vanity wall there. I know the rough in might be a different story. My biggest concern with the vanity wall being on the window wall is that the window would take the place of where you would normally place a mirror over one of the sinks. Thanks.
