Removable wallpaper?

This is for one wall in a rental. My daughter in law wants to wallpaper one accent wall for my toddler granddaughter's bedroom.
But because they are renting for a year (they just relocated and don't know yet where they will ultimately live), they don't want to have something too difficult to remove.
Isn't there a coating that can be applied to a wall first, to assist in release?
I may be doing the work. But it's been a long time since I wallpapered anything. When I moved to my present house 30 years ago, I applied a coating that was supposed to help. However, when I did remove the wallpaper some years later, it did NOT help, and it was very difficult to remove, even though the wallpaper was supposed to be "strippable" as well.
I was told at the paint store that this was because my house was new construction and the paint layer on the drywall was thin and too absorptive.
But perhaps there are better products out there now, and this rental house is not new construction.
I appreciate your advice. Thanks.
