Hard to comment without knowing the whole homes style. Each one leans stylistically very differently. I’d be afraid of solid black in a windowless space and I’d be afraid of introducing vintage tile in a non vintage styled home.

Also, consider what tile floors will do to transition areas and door clearances (LVP may be a better choice for you). And I question the floor refresh if you aren’t addressing the tub/shower. So stepping back - what are your goals - is this for resale or for yourself?

I think this will be stunning. Fwiw. I am not a fan of the basket weave tile at all. For a fetro lox, I favor hex tiles.

The home is traditional. Here is an exterior photo. I don’t want to spend $6,000 on a new tub and tile surround. The update is for me not resale. The values in my neighborhood are fairly stagnant and I won’t recoup the money for a new tub and shower. I can update flooring, vanity, faucet, mirror and lighting for $3,000 or so.

I like the hex tile for your bath but not with the black dots. This article just came out today about grout and you might like the overall look for your bath. If you keep the tub and surround just get a really pretty shower curtain and if your vanity and vanity wall could look like the one in this article it would really freshen up the space and work with the style of your home. I don't think a solid black floor works for you at all.

I think the black tile is stunning. But. It will show every hair, water spot, etc. You will be cleaning the floor every day.

Here is a bathroom design of ours. Note the mirror, lighting, and faucet colors. Since you want to do black tile you could go all black or perhaps even try brass.
