Stainless steel.

While this looks lovely, I will have dark counters and natural cherry cabinets. That may look too dark if I set it with a dark sink?

I see a reflection of overhead light from the floor of my stainless steel sink as I am standing there rinsing dishes, etc. The bounce back of light means the sink isn’t as dark as you would think. With a black sink I imagine all the light would get sucked up. I don’t like white sinks myself, having lived with one that stained but that is an option. I checked images from soapstone fabricators sites for ideas when I was considering sinks, faucets etc. You might also look at different metal finishes, I don’t know if sinks come in chrome and nickel. If so they would blend in fine with stainless steel appliances.

I think the stainless would look better than black. I too have dark granite countertops (leathered Virginia Mist) and opted for a white cast iron sink, but that was based on my experience with stainless in this house (I think the problem for me was the water here - not the stainless itself). In any case, a black sink might just be too much dark.

That is the same Granite we are getting! Thank you all for your input :) I feel better about my original choice.
