Based on my screen, I don’t see blue but I just think the rug feels too heavy. To really complement your space and art, I‘d go with softer and more modern.

I see more grey in your rug. Maybe something more contemporary such as a geometric print in a neutral colour. I also love a good curved back dining chair. Your captains’ chairs should probably be at scale or larger than the rest of your chairs.

I love the rug and the dining table you currently have. I like the look of 2 upholstered chairs at both ends of the table. One thing I have learned that it is best to be able to sit in a dining room chair prior to purchasing it, to make sure it is comfortable.
