I don't quite understand your questions but will try my best to answer them.
The nature of the space and type of interior and architectural style used are similar questions. I don't think in terms of style. What I think about is the poetry of the site and I try of understand the emotional aspects of the clients and how my clients relates to space, where and how they like sunlight coming into the structure and when and where they want to keep it out, etc. Above all I want the house to function just the way my clients want to live in their home so the house is adapted to them and not them adapting to the house. In the end I want the structure to be at peace with its environment and I want people to be at peace within the structure.
The color system was base on starting with the clients favorite colors and blending them with the natural colors of the materials use in the house.
Beside the use of natural light during the day, except for the hangs light over the dining table, the light used was recess cans and concealed lights in the interior soffits reflecting up to the ceiling.
