I'd go a little more, how about some landscaping stone around the front to give it some different elevations. Recap windows so that they stand out.

Maybe a pergola over the patio, with some lighting.

Just a thought.

Notice the decorative band on house next door and how they framed the window in the same color, these are the details that set a house apart.

Make the walkway to the front door more obvious. A roof over the patio (or a screened porch) on the lake side would give you an additional room to enjoy the view without bugs or rain problems. A little landscaping would be attractive.
