Here is the rest of the building

I suggest painting the building a rich Ivory such as Mascarpone AF-20 from Benjamin Moore's Aura Collection and the trim a greyed Beige such as Jute AF-80 also from Benjamin Moore's Aura Collection. This combination should look lovely with the charcoal mansard roof. Best!

Gosh - this building is the accessory building to a much larger main house. I am not painting the main house, and new siding in the light green has already been put up, so the color scheme must stay (although I love your suggestion). I am just trying to figure out whether to keep the garage doors the dark green, or to have them painted the light green color.

Light so doors don't "stick out." Add larger light fixtures.

If the main building has to stay the same, then you really should keep all of the trim in the darker color, including the garage doors as they should, in almost all cases, be treated as trim. Good Luck!

There has been a lot of discussion on Houzz about painting garage doors in a lighter color to make them less prominent. This is why I asked... This is an accessory building, detached from the main house, but since the buildings are on a corner lot, this back building (which also has a caretaker's unit in it), also faces directly onto a street.

I'd keep the trim and the doors te same color, and not too much contrast to the building.

Well! I am most curious to hear what you suggest! Attached is a photo of the front house. It is a lot longer than it is wide - the porch wraps around to the long side. Lots of fancy railing, etc. The house is in a Colorado mountain town/ski resort, so lots of snow most of the year.

I like the green it gives the house character, for the garage doors I would paint them like the siding .
