ideas for new front exterior

Hi,

I am the owner of this lovely brick home in Birmingham Alabama built in 1960. I would love to hear ideas to streamline and update our front exterior. I like our grey brick and large windows and don’t want to change anything regarding those features. I’m not crazy about the large white columns or the shutters. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m all ears. Thanks in advance.

Your problem is that you have too many shades of white/off white. The trim and shutters are taupe, the trim on the pediment is cream, the columns and area around the door are a bright white. The door doesn't go with any of the colors.

Your bricks probably need a wash, but it's hard to tell from a picture.

I'd paint all the trim and columns a warm cream. I'd pick a warm color for the door. Peach, perhaps? A light brown?

I'm not sure I'd keep the shutters.
