Tiles look too busy for my taste.

What about a brick look tile?

Or

Plain solid slate tile?

I like the hardware. And the backsplash...
But
Both of those items should be dealt with at the very end.

I couldn’t find any solid porcelain tile that is soft or warm. I literally picked out about 10-15 tiles and came down to these last few.

Here are a few that I picked

I am not a fan of brick looking tiles. There is a floor and decor near me so I picked these from there. I also went to Home Depot. The tiles that I picked are less expensive compared to F&D but the tiles look very thin.

We are redoing the floor in the dining room and living room. Here is an old pic of living room and dining room as well as kitchen. Kitchen is right next to dining room. We don’t want hardwood in the kitchen because hardwood does not hold up well in the kitchen.

Who says hardwood doesn't hold up well in the kitchen? lol

How come all the new kitchens on all these sites all have hardwood? I just did french oak flooring in my kitchen and it holds up like a champ. Find me a kitchen picture on this site, or other decor sites, and 9/10 they have wood floors. If it didn't hold up, they wouldn't use them.

Reconsider.

honestly, the tiles you've picked, they look like bathroom tiles.

You may have to pay a bit more to get something decent looking. I like a 24x24 tile.

go over to Tilebar and look at their floor tiles, see if you like anything.

for example,,, these 1st 4 are 24x24 with small grout lines. I love these tiles

Or what about a large hex tile?

I like the light grey and the beige tiles pictured above. Do you know the name of the color? I am going to check out tilebar. Thank you for the suggestion.
