I think wall art look ok. I would move them closer and go with console table below. May be wall sconces or candle holders on a sides. Make accent on the wall not chairs.

I agree with Littlebug. I always place art in relation to the furniture, not the center of the wall.

Yes you all do! When furniture located by the wall. Not in this way. Here is wall art not belong to sitting area, but the wall. There is the pass/ walking way behind the chairs. Nothing to do with furniture but entire space.

Center it on the wall, not the furniture. Particularly if your artwork is larger, the look will then complement the entire space and not appear as though the artwork is somehow "tied" to the furnishings.

Celery in the photo you posted the artwork does reflect the furniture. The artwork in the photo is arrange in an artistic way, which is my favorite way to do it. Off centered. Just because the art reflects the furniture does not mean it needs to be centered with the furniture. Or maybe I am just not reading your response correctly...
