That would be more than sufficient red flags for me to not consider them. That plus the fact that I know of many horror stories of them not getting simple window and door orders correct. I shop at HD usually under duress and will only buy what I can grab from the shelf. The rep selling closet systems today was running the Zamboni last week and will be in electrical next week, so that needs to be remembered as well.

I would love to drive a Zamboni. At the Little Caesar's Arena some fans get to ride on them.

I think Home Depot is out of the running, unless you are a gambler.

Look at the Stow company website. I believe they manufacture several lines of closet systems - Easy Track and East Closet being the two I am considering.
Easy Track is a standard kit sized product available for purchase many places. Easy Closet is online purchase only - but custom sizing. Other differences: Easy Closet is a thicker wood material and soft close drawers. It’s also much more expensive.
I’ve bought and installed Easy Track closets myself, and I’m pretty sure I will use this product again.

I believe I the HD folks that I've dealt with were all very helpful and informative. And the folks in the electrical were retired elelectricians or at least knowledgeable.

Know that if HD is going to install your closet system, they sub it out. Usually to the lowest bid.
