let them dry a bit more... and then pull them apart ...

imo.. you are better off 'cleaning up the bulbs' and planting them separately .. rather than jamming all the refuse into a pot and hoping it doesnt all rot when you start watering again ... you could put more than one in a large pot.. but not connected all together ...

an ID might help.. when io bought cheap elephant ears from dol gen.. for a buck.. they were the size of an avocado.. and bare of all roots...

i believe peeps here told me to just cut all that stuff off for winter storage in MI .. indoors... and just keep them dark and cool so they stay dormant..i used a mesh onion bag.. and a coldish closet ..

EE is a common name.. and i suppose there could be multiple plants under the same name.. i wonder why your bulbs are so tiny... compared to the ones i paid a buck for...

Yes they are smaller than the original that was planted -have no idea why. Funny thing is that one of them was half rotten when I planted it ....it still survived and produced heirs :-))

Yeah I was not sure about the roots if I should shave them off (cut) or leave then, I thought they could give the plant a jump start in spring

Yes I will do the same -store them in the basement in dark, some say I should bath them in some fungicide. I am also reading that it could be a good idea to store them in wood shavings. Would saw dust work ? Have lots of it from my table saw :-)
