I rooted dormant cuttings!

My mother always rooted cuttings by planting dormant prunings in winter. This never worked for me, but this year a friend begged me to try on a dormant or near-dormant ’Pink Pet’. This time I did my usual method of perlite pot-in-pot, but kep it in the chilly garage at about 50 degrees (as opposed to indoor warmth). 6 weeks later and there are roots. Just putting it out there in case others have had similar experiences or want to try it.
