steep lake embankment needs decking & stairs to

We purchased some lake frontage that is a short walk in the woods from our house. The bank is very steep. Waiting on landscape designer but in the meantime want to give them some ideas so looking to you guys for some inspiration. Here’s the wants list: two level split deck w maybe two sets of steps. One area to be at least 20x12 the other smaller. There’s a River Birch by edge that must stay but pine trees are hurricane problematic. Also want floating pier and dock(again in major hurricane zone so iffy on roof there.

Around me, the dock guys tend to do waterfront steps and decks.

Yes exactly what I’m looking for! Suggestions on how a two split level deck design with two sets of stairs could be designed. What the layout options could be.

I imagine the dock guys will have suggestions. It's not the right time of year, but kayaking close to shore and looking at everyone else's arrangements is very useful. Your neighbors are likely to have the same challenges you have, soil, slope, shallowness/deepness.

In Maine, the docks are pulled out of the water in the winter, so even if you brave the weather, you won't see much useful. The docks tend to go back in around Memorial day.

Dock guys will probably have a book of their projects. Go visit their showroom.
