Black might be too dark/harsh. Have you looked at Urbane Bronze? That is less brown than what you have, so it will be different. You might want to sample both before you commit to the whole paint job.

I would go with a medium dark brown rather than something black

This is where I get into trouble, why is Urbane Bronze a better color choice? It is the same LRV as Black Fox. I thought gutters were not considered trim and should be painted the color of the roof or the house.

What colour are your windows? They look dark but we can't see the colour.

@lisedv they are a greyish vinyl.

With your grey windows that look relatively dark, I would go with the following classic looking colour scheme:

- grey shingles for the new roof

- warm white for trim

- charcoal grey for the doors (a grey that coordinates with your windows that we don't really see)
