My husband just build us an island. I would love suggestions on what color to paint it. We will be doing giallo ornamental granite soon with light subway stone backsplash. I am considering a black island with matching granite on all countertops or black island with butcher block top that will tie in with the cabinet color. Will that be too much black with all the appliances? Because the giallo ornamental is a creamish color...what about a creme glazed island with a butcher block as the same color as the cabinets?

We will not be changing the cabinet color or the appliances, so we need to figure something that will be best with what we already have.
