Thank you for your question. The lattice is all rough cut cedar wood stained dark charcoal grey. Wood screens need staining every 5 years depending on local weather conditions.
A semi transparent stain is used as it soaks in much easier than paint and still shows the wood grain.

Boxwood hedge is easy to clip and needs clipping after new growth in spring and then occasionally. It's quite easy to clip and maintain. Stays green all year.
