I need help with Kitchen design...5 different designers and nothing

Its a unique shape kitchen that opens to a family room. There is a supporting post that we are trying to work into the design. There are surrounding windows to the bottom, and opening to kitchen and dining room on upper right corner. Its a backwards L shape the bend is where the post is.

The dark portion is the fireplace in the F/R. Opposite this fireplace is the main kitchen area...then below...
