Mirrored wall in dining room

What should I do with the wall!?!

Everyone says to just sheet rock it, but I'm ok with the mirror only because this is a smaller condo. I've seen some ideas on how to improve the mirror.

Below is a pic of the dining room, the attached living room (to get the vibe) and some examples of the direction that I'm leaning towards. The wall has mirrored trim on the seams- any suggestions to get that off if I go with putting trim on?

One idea that you could do and we have done this before in a dining room. But antiquing the overall mirror and then placing a mirror on top of the existing mirror. Attached is just an example. I like the idea of keeping the mirror because it does allow the space to seem open and also reflects light allowing light to flow throughout the space which is good in smaller spaces

I would trim-out the mirrored wall and add wainscotting trim below your chair rail. I would also remove the louvred kitchen door. If you need a kitchen door, replace the louvred door with a French door. Good luck!

I like the mirror ,take down the door and paint the door trim to match your table and bar

The mirrored wall is not horrible in your space.....due to your decor! The bar set up there is perfect with it, as is the table and chandelier. Yes, you will be happier with no door or a new door, and that will seem like an easy fix now.

Leave the mirror and overlay it with trellis work or some other type of wood molding in a more contemporary pattern.

sn..., just commented on your bedroom mirror dilemma...the previous apartment occupiers must have read that mirrors enlarge a place. Ha! Again, I like option 2 with the white trim glued to the mirror, but wish I knew how to remove the mirror trim without breaking/cackling the large mirror pieces. Can't help there.

Addison Design's idea is great. Also, if you don't need that door, I would do away with it completely.

In our house we made a mirrored wall look like a large window with moulding and muntin bars.

Have you thought about taking the wall down? Maybe having a partition wall there instead?
