Can this cast stone fireplace surround be installed directly onto the fireplace insert as shown? In other words, our gas fireplace has black metal around the opening (opening covered in glass). and granite can be installed directly onto the metal part of the fireplace hiding the metal and leaving only the opening showing. Thanks.

Yes, our cast stone can be installed with zero tolerance to the firebox opening. Cast stone as well as granite, marble, ceramic tile, etc. are considered to be fire safe according to most codes. Hope this answers your question,,,,,,, Pierre......Your Mantel Company.
