Are these painted with Annie Sloan paints? What was the glaze?

I am painting over birch cabinets. Did you use the Sloan dark wax or was it a tobacco glaze and polyurethane over the glaze?

We used Faux Effects Stain and Seal Ebony for the glazing and then coated with Annie Sloan Clear Wax. Good luck on your project.

This was posted a year ago. How has the paint held up in the kitchen? I've read mixed reviews with using AS paints on high traffic items.

That's great to hear! We are considering chalk paint to cover some generic IKEA cabinets in a house we just bought and wasn't sure if it would hold up being that you don't have to sand or prime... Thanks for the feedback!
