The company was started in 1976 by Larry Nichols and during summers Matt, Larry’s son, would work weekends and between school breaks learning the finer points of home construction and running a successful business. After graduating from college Matt joined the family business, put in his time helping Larry to build the company, and today a 2nd generation Nichols craftsman leads L.E. Nichols & Son.
