About Us

Sewing and designing has been an important part of my life for over forty years. In 1983 I began to design and make window treatments and in 1985 I attended my first Window Coverings Show. Attending shows on a regular basis allows me to offer clients the latest in custom home fashions. Clients’ work is designed and sewn in house, and a studio provides a wide variety of fabrics to complete any project. Furniture and slipcovers are available, as well as re-upholstery. If a project requires purchases such as art or accessories, Window Creations can make personal selections at the High Point Furniture Market that opens twice a year to the Design and Furniture Trade. From 1993 through 1998, Window Creations participated in the Parade of Homes of Newport News and received several awards. In 1998, I created a display for the Dream Windows Event at the Window Coverings Show in Baltimore. This was a fantastic experience! In 2006 I received two awards from the International Window Fashions Design and Workroom Competition. The most recent Window Covering Expos were held in Las Vegas & Chicago. I look forward to ever increasing my understanding of the window fashions industry and helping my clients get the latest in the Window Fashion World.

I've worked with Jo Green for seven or more years now. From custom drapery, bedding, and upholstery.....she is by far the most talented I've ever worked with. A pleasure to deal with, bringing a wealth of fabric knowledge and producing quality work. Not to mention the amazing show room she has. I could not be more satisfied with my experiences over the years. Fantastic, through and through. When it comes to Window Creations by Jo Green, I give a five star and will find myself using and recommending her for years to come. Attached are a few examples of her gorgeous work. More to come...

Exploding with ideas!! Professional and personable. On time and within budget. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Jo Green and her company, Window Creations. Her years of experience clearly show in her approach to a project. Our house has a "wall of windows" with large windows on either side of a sliding glass door. Finding a window treatment that would allow us to see the beauty of the outdoors while also providing the privacy we need seemed an insurmountable task. I was beginning to think I would have to just "settle". Then we met Jo and what a difference! She first spent time getting to know us and our tastes. She showed us so many fabric choices and carefully explained which she believed would be right for our windows. She worked at our convenience to do all the measurements (another personal touch). She used sheers and three box pleated valances. She elevated the center valance to reveal the transom window located above the door. Brilliant! The fabric and sheer colors work so well together. She and her wonderful husband did the installation and made it look easy. Jo also made sheers for our front door sidelights. Our room now truly looks "pulled together" and cozy. All for a very reasonable price. An added bonus---she designed two pillows with the valance fabric and they are simply beautiful. Window Creations is it for us. Why go anywhere else?!!
