Sandy Bachand with Walter E. Smithe Furniture

Sandy is fantastic! I've worked with her on several rooms in my house over the years and I can’t say enough about how happy I am with her work. Not only has she proven time and again that her design knowledge solid, (I can't get enough of the compliments from friends and neighbors!) but most of all she really pays attention to what you’re hoping to accomplish, and works diligently to make it happen. I always feel like her design ideas are truly tailored to fit me, so in the end the spaces she works on really feel like mine. Most recently, Sandy helped me find, what I thought would be impossible, a pair of leather chairs that would fit in a pretty awkward space in my family room. I had been trying to find them on my own for months, but had no luck, so the next time I was in the Chicago area I met Sandy at Walter E. Smithe and that same afternoon she accomplished the impossible… Sandy found three chairs, each with a design element I was looking for, size/shape, style leather, and comfort, and then she went to work marrying those elements together, making the perfect pair of custom designed chairs. They turned out great, the space no longer feels awkward, I couldn’t be happier. I'm also very pleased with my experience at Walter E. Smithe, I highly recommend both Sandy and Walter E. Smithe to anyone looking for decorating help!

Sandy is an extremely competent and experienced designer who has the best interest of the client in mind. Recently, we purchased bedroom furniture, and she helped us pull the entire room together. Her pleasant manner and willingness to help, make her someone I will work with again in the future when the need arises.
