To open up the kitchen and improve the overall flow of the space, we removed the wall and raised the ceiling about 6 inches. Now, the waterfall quartz island makes a stunning statement when you walk in the door, and creates additional prep space and seating for entertaining. Keeping to our mission of bringing the beauty of the outdoors in, we painted the walls a coastal blue and selected a mosaic tile with blue and teal hues for the backsplash, reminiscent of the sparkling ocean. Engineered "maple cinnamon" hardwood floors warm up the space, and rose gold pendant lights bring a nice contrast to the new stainless steel appliances.
