JPWiley1 - I finally called the firm that did this mantel when I was unable to get a comment back from them via Houzz. I was told that it was fabricated for the project. We ended up doing something similar to this with a piece of angle iron purchased from a local steel supplier. We then finished it onsite.

Andregg Contracting - thank you for your feedback! I am going to try to have something similar replicated.

It is sustainably harvested Brazilian Cherry. Thank you!

Regrettably we do not have that information. The Owners sourced this sustainability harvested Brazilian Cherry flooring material. This is the natural look of Brazilian Cherry and It likely does not have much color added to the stain/ finish. I'd expect that you'd be able find a similar product at many flooring showrooms. Thanks for your inquiry!

    Since this was
custom & was fabricated along with many other custom metal pieces on this job, I
do not have record of how much this individual piece’s cost. The subcontractor’s
quote is for the whole job & so I would not expect that cost to be an accurate
estimate for a metal worker who would be quoting this as a standalone piece. Think
of it as, the more work they are doing the more of a discount you will receive on their labor, so to speak. I don’t know
if you are near the Denver area, but there are some fantastic metal workers in
the area. We love to work with Living Design Studio and Coalesce Design +
    Fabrication. ~I hope this helps!

This is a custom mantel that was locally fabricated. The mantel is an L of ½” plate steel, painted black with a clear sealer and uses a
simple L-shaped attachments that gets screwed to the framing. The dimensions
    are approximately 66" x 8". This leaves apporx. 7 1/2" overhang
on each side of the firebox. This plate is welded so it is a true right angle,
(not bent, resulting in a curve). Thank you so much for your interest!

Yes, you are correct. I believe that the mantel is more like 66" long (rather than 48", I was mistaken). This leaves apporx. 7 1/2" overhang on each side of the firebox. This plate is welded so it is a true right angle, (not bent, resulting in a curve). Thank you so much for your interest!

Sure, the plate steel is 1/2" thickness. Thank you for your questions!

The hearth is a natural slab of Colorado buff sandstone, cantilevered on steel supports. Thank you for your inquiry!

Thank you! The windows including the frame are 3'4" wide. The upper window is 4' high, the middle one is 6'6" and the lower one is 2'.

Stone... Cooper Stone. It's a real thin stone veneer, color Antique-Lueder. Each stone was cut on site on almost all four side to have a perfect dry-stacked look. Coronado Stone's Playa Vista looks very similar to this. http://www.houzz.com/pro/coronado_stone

loved the arc ceiling but would drop if too expensive. Like windows, stone column.
