Sylvan Nursery

A little about us… Sylvan Nursery started as a Christmas tree farm back in 1968 with 40 acres of land near Laurel, MT. Soon after Christmas tree sales began, customers started asking if they could come in the spring and purchase trees for landscaping their yards. With excitement, Sylvan Nursery began selling trees in the spring and fall. After a few years, Sylvan Nursery began thinking about a regular nursery store closer to Billings where they could provide a wider range of plants to customers year-round. This led to the purchase of 3.5 acres of land in 1978; one thing led to another, and before we knew it Sylvan Nursery became a full service nursery and landscaping business. After 12 years Sylvan nursery once again had outgrown its home; in 1991 the Nursery purchased some property on Shiloh Road, where we stand today. In 2013 Sylvan Nursery and Landscaping was purchased by Andy and Lindsay Kautz. Today Sylvan Nursery still prides itself on its knowledgeable staff, quality products and plants. As a family owned Independent Garden Center we know our customers are our livelihood, the highest quality plants and customer service is the only route for success.
