If you value your money and time do not give James(owner) or BARRON Tile and Stone your business…
Following are factual statements that can be supported with photos and text conversations(cliff notes version for those in a rush, not a full list of transgressions):
-They left a mess virtually every single day they worked in my home. To include, Day 1 of demolition they did not seal the bathroom and thusly covered 100% of my downstairs in a layer of dust. Computers, couches, dished, appliances, bed, all of my sons things, etc. James DID NOT contact me to apologize for the massive mess.
-After completion, I mentioned concern about a small leak and water that would pool outside the shower. He covered it with grout moved on. That leak materialized into water damage in the nearby wood and would be the precursor to a larger issue later.
-Grout in the flooring began to break up and tiles came loose. New tiles were installed individually, by hand, ensuring the intended and desired symmetry of the full sheet of flooring would not be there. Poor grout work would become a theme. Inside the shower and outside the shower and requiring multiple visits.
*2nd round of tiles coming loose and grout breaking away in chunks.
*The front face of the shower, tiles began to crack… every few inches, spanning the length of the front. (James has accused me of doing that damage, WITHOUT having assessed the damage)
*Just inside the shower, the inner base of the shower curb… the grout is cracked from wall to wall and in a few other places where the floor meets the wall. Water is leaking from inside the shower and out of the previously mentioned cracks(and the initially indicated leaking spot) and onto the floor. I mentioned the leak, initially, April 27th. The leak has been causing damage below the surface for potentially 4.5 months.
Bullets with asterisks are current problems that have not been fixed and there has been no indication they will. My shower($8,505.61 PAID) is currently unusable and James has chosen to stop responding to attempts to contact him. Has has also not attempted to contact me. ~For the knowledge of all… the statute of limitations is 3 years to file in small claims court. I will post here, again, once this is legally resolved.~

I had Jennifer come out and give me suggestions as to a new backsplash in my kitchen. I had 4" black granite backsplash and wanted to replace it with white tile. She suggested leaving some of the 4" black backsplash. I questioned it and she said it would be fine. When their installer came he said it doesn't look right having two different types of backsplash and added that this is not typically done. I agreed when I saw it and called Jennifer She said that there would be freight charges for ordering a little more tile (four inches by 8 feet) and I said fine. they finally came to do the job and they charged $442 for labor (2 hours of labor). I will NEVER use them again and I hope you don't either.

We had read the mostly glowing reviews before contracting for a bathroom renovation, and now that the project is completed, we can say that the owners provided excellent, ideas and overall design expertice, given in a very cordial manner. The three star overall rating represents a reduction from the 5 star owners input rating by 1 star finish work. Their workers have no sense of their own regarding how the details of the finish are so important and no compulsion to make things right when they know that they have left fixtures, as well as tiles and trim incorerectly/uncorrectly installed.
After having them return to make things right, with improvement but still less than satisfactory results, we decided to pay the contract price in full......and to finish the project ourselves!
If lacking fulltime supervision by the owners or homeowners, prepare to make the project acceptable yourself.

Barron Tile and Stone did an amazing renovation on our home. They completely redid our kitchen and master bathroom. Jennifer was so professional and patient in helping us pick out products and she and James had creative ideas for our home we never thought of. People coming in our home could not believe the difference. I now have the cool " Fixer Upper" kitchen with open shelves and white subway tile backsplash. Love the quartz countertops much better than my granite ones. The tile and stone open walk in shower is great and we really love the sliding barn door they installed. They subbed out the hardwood floors to be refinished and they look great. Very pleased with their workers. You could not ask for easier people to work with. Thank you for all your creative ideas. I really loved that they could complete the whole job without having to go find different vendors myself!!!

Our custom home builder (Masters Properties, Inc) uses Barron Tile in his award winning homes. Now, after working with the team at Barron Tile in our new home, it’s clear why they are so highly recommended. Choosing the many products in a new house can be a bit daunting so it was a relief to have the expertise and good taste of James and Jennifer guiding us as we selected tile to coordinate with the other elements in our house and stay on time and within our budget. The installers are true professionals in quality of workmanship and attention to detail in every tile surface in the house including a real “wow factor” kitchen backsplash. The team at Barron Tile played a big part in making this house such a quality place for us to live.

Please read on for explanation as to the only reason the star rating is only a 4, at this point! My limited experience with Barron Tile and stone was when I met with James and Jennifer in the showroom for a preliminary perusal of tile choices. Because they did not have any more appointments that day, James asked if I would like them to meet me at the site. What a great idea! I was thrilled. We spent over an hour going over all the areas on which we would be using tile; James identified a couple little glitches, came up with solutions and offered some additional great suggestions and ideas, all the while Jennifer was taking extensive and detailed notes. While I have not yet been into showroom to make final selections, I have had phone contact and every time Kim and Jennifer were were upbeat, efficient friendly and knowledgeable. When I needed a call-back, I received it in a timely manner.
If all that wasn't enough to boost my confidence level, after reading the many glowing reviews complimenting their workmanship and the ethical way in which they conduct their business, I have to say I am readily looking forward to working with James and his team.

We tried time give a 3.5 rating but we're unable to get a half star!! While we were thrilled with the tile work, we weren't impressed with the finish trim work, mudding, etc. We had to do a lot of caulking at door corners because there were signifiicant gaps. The design came out perfectly for what we wanted and we're pleased with the overall outcome.
Also, while we know that timing on projects can be delayed, we were very disappointed that this project took more than a month past the original time estimate. We felt as though, since we were away, our work took a lower priority and I don't believe that was correct!

I have had Barron Tile to do two jobs for us and could not have been more pleased. There knowledge and help on picking a tile at there show room was a great help. They did the job on time and did what they said they would do. I cannot say enough about Jose the master craftsman who did the work. He is a real professional at his work and also a really nice person. Would use them again without hesitation.

Great company to work with. Excellent workmanship and extensive selection of tile and stone. Unlike a lot of trades people they show when scheduled.

James and his team did a gorgeous job on my bathroom remodel which included tearing out the tub and shower insert, installing a new tub and tiling the walls, tiling the floor, new lights, and new counter top, sink, and faucet. It is beautiful and they were extemely professional. This is the second remodel I have hired them for and will gladly use them again.

Barron Tile and Stone was professional with expert knowledge. We hired Barron Tile and Stone to fix a poorly installed shower by another company. They came out, looked at the work which had been done previously, and made several recommendations which would solve our problem, They did not try to make us replace the entire shower, but instead showed us what needed to be replaced to save the integrity of the shower. Their friendly staff helped us to find tile which would work with what was existing. They scheduled as soon as possible, did an excellent job of demo and replacement. All installers were concerned with quality and cleanliness. They did what they said they would do at a reasonable price. We felt totally comfortable with the entire process They completed work as scheduled and we could not be happier with the end results. We just wish we would have hired them originally to do the entire shower! We are looking forward to having them do our bathroom floor, 2nd bathroom and kitchen project in the future. Could not be happier, highly recommend this company!!!!
