We planned a move South to get away from New England winters. After a long search for a new home our realtor introduced us to Gil Chason of Foundation Homes. We were impressed with Gil's knowledge and ideas and decided to build a new home. Gil kept us informed of the homes progress and answered our many questions from start to finish. We couldn't have don it without Gil, Steve and Foundation Homes.

Foundation Homes is a full service company! From helping us find the right lot to helping us select the right backsplash, they guided us through the whole process. Building a house is never a simple process, but Foundation did everything they could to make it as easy as possible. Our contract was based on a set price, so the sale proceeded more like a traditional home sale rather than a construction loan, which was extremely helpful and much easier to budget for. We used one of their existing floor plans and made adjustments according to our own tastes. We wanted to make our home as functional and useful as possible. Gil's recommendations were always very sound and helpful. When change orders were necessary, the costs and considerations of these orders was very clearly communicated. We were very pleased with the high-quality materials and fixtures we had to choose from. And the decorating advice we received was excellent! Once construction started, our house progressed very quickly. We love our beautiful home and recommend Foundation Homes wholeheartedly.

Outstanding experience from start to finish. On time and on budget. Allowances were very generous and their "standard" finishes were better than most other builder's upgrades. Granite, hardwood, trim - all top notch.

We hired Foundation Homes as we wanted to create "our home" and suit it to our needs in stead of trying to find a home that would just "work". We designed a custom floor plan with the guidance of the team from Foundation. They were easy to work with and the end result was just what we wanted. They had a great selection to choose from for our interior and with their help we were able to put it all together. I initially planned to build with Foundation in the Preserve, but ended up retiring to another state. This builder would have been my choice if I had stayed. With many products, you can almost get what you want anywhere. The difference is the service behind the product. What I loved about this team over other even larger companies, is that their work is impeccable, they are more updated than some other builders on what makes great design and functionality, they listen to the customer. Their homes are distinctive. Should I ever end up back in the state, or be asked for a referral, Foundation would get my nod.

Foundation Homes is a "class act" operation. This was the first home we had built and they did an excellent job of walking us through the decision making process and executing on the plan. To start, we decided to customize one of the plans they had available. Foundation gave us guided tours of similar floor plans that were currently in construction to allow for us to get a true feel for the space and floor plan. The customizations we needed were handled through a certified architect and with a high level of professionalism. The next major step in the process (and the most nerve racking for most) was what I call "choosing colors"... We sat down with an in-house Interior decorator at the Foundation Homes showroom and went though the specifics of all aspects of the floor plan. E.g. (Exterior - Shingle Styles/Colors, Brick/Mortar Style/colors, Paint/Trim Colors. Interior - Wood/Tile/Carpet Flooring Styles/colors, Interior Paint/Trim Colors, Cabinet Styles/Colors, Plumbing Fixture Style/Colors, Etc.) The showroom had a wide variety of high quality products to choose from and the organization skills of the interior decorator were superb. She captured all our decisions in a very detailed workbook that included colored floor plans, pictures, and elevations that reflected the decisions my wife and I made. This workbook was an extremely valuable resource we could reference during the construction process. The professionalism continued throughout the construction of our home. As we walked the house during the construction we found a couple of things we wanted to change, such as an additional piece of trim on the exterior and a door moved inside the house. Foundation had a very reasonable change request policy that followed a predefined process. Minor changes like some paint requests in the dining room and custom cabinet trim modifications were handled on the spot by the Superintendent. In summary, Foundation Homes helped guide us through the process while allowing us to make our home the way we wanted it. They were detailed in the planning which eliminated the unpleasant surprises most people face and they executed the plan on time. We are very happy we choose to work with Foundation Homes.

Foundation Homes built our home in 2013 and we couldn't be happier. From the beginning planning phases, to the execution of our design, to the quality of workmanship, and to our finished product-- we couldn't be happier. Just a few years ago, Foundation Homes built our new home in northeast Tallahassee. Not only did Foundation deliver an absolutely first-class home, but it and its owners and contractors made the process enjoyable and rewarding. In every day imaginable, Foundation Homes proved itself to be flexible, accommodating and, when we needed it the most, creative. Its design was excellent. Its willingness to tweak that design to our taste – and to adjust its construction schedule to our needs – was outstanding. Its product was delivered in near immaculate condition. As careers and life’s circumstances carried us here and there, we’ve built six (count ‘em, six) new homes, and never have we had a pre-delivery punch list as short as the one associated with our Foundation home. Even more impressive, that punch list was completely resolved within one day of closing. A special word about Foundation's construction manager and subcontractors: They were simply outstanding, in every regard. All of them. Never have we seen such meticulous work – the carpentry, the tile work, the final grade, the hardware, the flooring and, especially, the cabinetry. Flawless and gorgeous. All of it. And their post-closing responses to the few issues that arose – immediate and effective. Every time. Now, three years later, we remain big fans of Foundation Homes. We've had no major issues and only a handful of minor issues -- each handled promptly and cheerfully. Our family is deeply appreciative of the work done on our behalf by Foundation Homes. We recommend Foundation Homes without the slightest hesitation.
